Recent Storm Devastates Sunroom

SERVPRO of the Attleboros was recently called to a home in Franklin, Massachusetts that had experienced severe flooding in their back sunroom. As you may not be able to see in the before photo, the home's blue carpeting was severely infected with water, making the entire area susceptible to mold growth.

By extracting water vapor from the air, dehumidifiers lower the relative humidity, which in turn increases the rate of evaporation. In a water damaged structure, dehumidifiers pull in the moist, humid air and then discharge dry, warm air. The dry air acts like a sponge, absorbing moisture from wet materials.

Although the signature blue carpeting had to be removed, our customer stated that a new one is on the way!
